New stretch goals for Hexiwear based on survey results
These new stretch goals are based on results of the survey we ran back when we reached our initial funding goal. Many people asked us to add a certain hardware functionality, like GPS, or GSM, or NFC. And while some of those requests were more popular than others, none had the critical mass to justify changing the original hardware design (which would have increased the price of the Hexiwear unit). Instead, we decided to make a single mikroBUS™ expander that will allow you…
Hexiwear reaches second stretch goal
Hexiwear reached its second stretch goal over the weekend. We will create a demo to allow people to useWiFi3 click together with Hexiwear and the Hexiwear docking station to connect directly to the WolkSense cloud. The WiFi demo is on our to-do list starting from today, but it’s not done at the expense of the core product. We’ve been keeping quiet for the previous few days but our team has been working on Hexiwear all along. The focus of the previous period…
Hexiwear on Kickstarter: First stretch goal reached. On to the next one
Thanks for your support. Hexiwear just passed its first stretch goal at 150% funds acquired. Our software team will start working on implementing notifications from smartphones. For developers, Hexiwear is a watch that saves time. Among other things, it’s the fastest way to create a low-power smartwatch prototype. Instead of starting from scratch, you can start very near the finish line. Now that enough people have shown interest, we will make development even more convenient, by adding support for notifications into the…
Stretch goals for Hexiwear announced – cast your vote, share your opinion
Everyone here was a bit nervous when we launched the Hexiwear Kickstarter campaign. Reaching our goal gave us huge relief. Note that none of these will impact the delivery date of the reward you pledged. Reaching stretch goals will justify putting additional workforce on the project. These are mainly to enhance and build upon the original Hexiwear experience….

Hexiwear on Kickstarter – new rewards introduced by popular demand
After running for three days the campaign is 75% funded. Some people want more. People want more Hexiwear than we offered :). One of the most oft-asked questions we received during the campaign is how can one acquire more than one unit? It makes sense. Hexiwear is affordable and versatile. People probably have too many ideas for a single device. That’s why we are introducing new options, allowing you to pledgebuy two, three, six or twelve units. Two or three will let…
Learn more about Hexiwear from some of the questions and answers from Kickstarter. 1. Is it waterproof (for use as weather station)? Not waterproof at this point. It could probably withstand a light drizzle but we recommend that you keep it sheltered from the elements. It shouldn’t be a problem because it’s small enough 2. I know it depends upon the efficiency of the programmer and the use it’s put to, but how long will the battery keep the unit running before…

Woohoo! Hexiwear got halfway funded practically in a day. We’ll have to start thinking about adding stretch goals very soon. Before that, a small treat. Embedded World visitors had the privilege of seeing Hexiwear live in action. Here are a few shots from NXP’s booth. For those of you are impatient to get a Hexiwear nearby, here’s the next best thing. We prepared a set of wallpapers so you can at least have it on your computer screen. You can download all…
