Hexiwear-powered smart factory concept shown at Embedded World 2017

Hexiwear made its debut last year at Embedded World at NXP’s stand. For its first anniversary at this year’s show, NXP showcased a more elaborate Hexiwear demo.

The video above shows how NFC can be implemented in a smart factory concept. Some explanation on what’s happening: three Hexiwears on Docking stations are connected to each other through ZigBee (via click boards). The one in the lower left corner is the master device, hosting NFC click.

The other two Hexiwears are controlling tachometers and RGB panels, also through click boards. Just to indicate the multitude of potential applications, the demonstration here includes an NFC-enhanced metering device.

To recap on the benefits and advatages of Hexiwear, our CBDO Dr. Djordje Marinkovic and our Hardware & Procurement chief (and Hexiwear project lead) Srdjan Tomic were interviewed at Digikey’s booth. Have a listen if you want to see the people behind the project:

Sincerely,
Hexiwear team
